Some people smoke and grill their corn with the husks on but i usually find this makes more of a mess and you cant let the butter or olive oil really soak in if you keep the husks on. When the corn has been in the smoker for about 30 minutes take the butter you prepared and carefully get about a teaspoon of it up under the husk of each ear of corn making sure to coat as much of the exposed ear as possible. Place corn in roasting pan and add more water until corn is covered.
